Art and Design
In Art design Technology we provide multi-sensory experience to stimulate the children’s creativity and imagination. The children are enabled to develop informed aesthetic and practical judgments. They learn to work with others in group activities and to develop their own ideas as individuals. The children are prepared for the technologies of a rapidly changing world. They are encouraged to think and plan creatively through problem-solving and develop an inquisitive awareness of how things work, the importance of design and what materials and processes can do. Above all children learn through exploration.
Drama and Dance
There are great enthusiasm and passion for Drama and Dance within our school where productions are held throughout the year. Working at their own pace and to their own ability, the aim of these classes, either individually or in the group, is to develop the confidence and resilience of the children to perform to a high standard.
Music Opportunities
We aim to develop the musical potential of every pupil and to provide opportunities in a variety of musical activities. In lessons pupils take part in singing, listening, musical appreciation and composition. Making music and performing in groups is also encouraged. In addition, the opportunity to learn a wide variety of musical instruments is offered by our peripatetic teachers.
